Location: The subdivision is located
on the edge of Halifax city in Clayton Park. It is the area between The
Bedford Hwy and Dunbrack Street between Chartwell and Glen Forest. This
is very large subdivision including many streets.
Description: The area is conveniently located minutes from downtown
Halifax. It is an older mature area with a mixture of single detached
houses, semi-detached, townhouses, condominiums and large rental apartment
complexes. It is very close to Bayer's Lake shopping district and has
many amenities in the area. Smaller serviced lots but some larger than
average city lots many with large mature trees.
Age of houses: Houses were built here from early 1960's on. Advantages: Easy commute to downtown Halifax. Most amenities in
the area including great shopping, schools, parks, swimming pool and library.
Style of housing available: All styles of single family detached
houses are available here. Many split entry and two storeys in the area.
Also semi-detached, townhouse and condominiums in the area. Some of the streets in subdivision: Too many streets to list but
some include Bayview, Clayton Park Drive, Northcliff, Plateau, Hillwood,
Lacewood, Chartwell, Hazelhome. Schools: Schools vary slightly depending on where you live but
mostly Gr P-6 Duc'Danville, Gr 7-9 Clayton Park Junior High, Gr10-12 Halifax
West. The list of schools above are the schools listed on the Halifax
Regional School Board website for this subdivision as of the date of creation
of this webpage. However school boundaries are constantly changing and
periodically schools are closed. For the most up to date information for
