| Location: Flemming Heights Subdivision is located off the Purcell's Cove Road Road in the Purcell's Cove area of Halifax. . It is about 5 kms to the Armdale Rotary and 15 kms to downtown Halifax. Age of houses: Many of the houses in this area were built as early as the 1950's and 1960's. Houses were built since that time in the area. Some newer houses in the area but not many. Typical house in the area would have been built in 1950-1960. Advantages: The subdivision is well located for an easy commute to Halifax downtown. Good schools are closeby, some within the subdivision. Well established subdivision with an excellent reputation. Good size lots, many are well treed. Two yacht clubs nearby. Nice parks closeby including the Dingle Park, Sir Stanford Flemming Park. York Redoubt fort is only a few minutes drive away. Style of housing available: Almost all single family detached housing. Some semi-detached but not many. Many of the homes are bungalow style but all styles are found in the area. Schools: Fleming Tower (P-1), John W MacLeod- 2-6 walking, Cunard Junior High 7-9 and J.L.Ilsley10-12.
