Location: Haliburton Hills subdivision is located at the end of Hammonds
Plains Road, not far from St. Margaret's Bay, about 25 kms from the edge
of Halifax city limits and 15 kms to Bedford. Located behind the Hubley
Center Shopping Center and St.Margaret's
Center this subdivision has an older and newer part. The newer part
is called Haliburton Heights where you will find new and almost new homes.
Age of houses: The subdivision
is a newer one with construction of houses starting about 1997. There
are several brand new homes available in the subdivision. Advantages:
Large beautifully treed lots, most an acre or more. Several parks
in the subdivision. Two lakes in subdivision. Located within walking to
shopping, rink, outdoor community pool and restaurants. Close to exit
to Halifax. Style of housing available: Newer split entry and two storey homes
in new phase. Many contemporary style cedar homes as well as conventional
styles in older section. Some of the streets in subdivision: Windsor, Buckingham, Sussex,
Penny Lane, Bristol,Minna, Sherwood,Allenby,Kingsway,Nottingham,
Manchester,Bristol Schools:.P-6 Tantallon Elementary, 7-9 Five Bridges Junior High
, 10-12 Sir John A. MacDonald High . ( Note: Schools are different for
Westwood Hills and Haliburton Hills than much of Hammonds Plains.) The
children attend totally different schools than the children in Kingswood,
White Hills and Glen Arbour.

this webpage. However school boundaries are constantly changing and periodically
