Shopping for Kingswood

There is no shopping in Kingswood itself except for a small mall at the entrance to the subdivision which has a grocery store, Tim Horton's Donuts and a hair salon. However there is good shopping a only few minutes away in Bedford.
Bedford has several good locations for shopping.
There are two medium size shopping malls in Bedford itself, Sunnyside Malland Bedford Place Mall, several strip malls with shops and services and many larger malls and specialty stores within a 15 minute drive from Bedford.
The Sunnyside Mall in Bedford is considered a higher end shopping center where you can find more brand name items and designer clothes. It's anchor stores are Canadian Tire, Lawton's Drug Store, Hartt Shoes,Mark's Work Warehouse and Pete's Frooteque.
The Bedford Place Mall has over 50 shops and services and provides several quality shopping destinations. The anchor stores at Bedford Place are Zellers, IGA grocery store, Shoppers Drug Mart, Dollarama and the Nova Scotia Liquor Commission. Between the two malls most of your shopping needs can be met.
For grocery items there are two grocery stores that are open 24 hours a day everyday except Sunday. Sobeys and IGA grocery stores are both modern stores with excellent quality and variety of food and other items. There are also specialty food stores that are very popular such as Pete's Frooteque, which has the possibly the best selection of fruit and vegetables in Nova Scotia. The owner Pete Luckette is a regular on several television shows in the area. Pete's is open on Sunday and has become a popular Sunday shopping destination for people from all over metro.
A 10 minute drive from Bedford you will find Bayer's Lake Business Park in Halifax where the big " box " stores such as Price Club, Business Depot, Future Shop, Winners and many others are located. This is a popular shopping location. Both Halifax and Dartmouth offer excellent shopping only a few minutes drive away.
Because the Halifax metro area is Nova Scotia's largest urban center it is also the regional shopping area.
Bedford has most stores that will satisfy your everyday needs. There are 3 video stores including Blockbuster, at least 3 dry cleaners, a liquor store, 2 camera stores, 2 -24 hour grocery stores, several clothing stores and much more. Your shopping will not be a problem if you choose Bedford as your home
.
