Location: Oakridge Subdivision is located off
the Rocky Lake Road in Bedford, behind Oakmount Subdivision, close

Duffus Drive. Housing Available: The subdivision consists of a combination
of link homes (which are two storey homes that attached to each other
but only underground at the footing ) and split entry or bungalow
style homes that may or may not have legal basement apartments. The
link homes generally consist of a livingroom, diningroom, kitchen
and half bath on the main floor. The second floor will have 3 bedrooms
and 1 or 2 baths and the basement will have a familyroom and possibly
a 4th bedroom. The homes with apartments( not shown in picture) usually
consist of a three bedroom apartment on each floor. Age of houses: The majority of these houses
were built in early 1990's but age varies slightly. Advantages:
The major advantage of Oakridge is the close proximity to schools.
Sunnyside Elementary-Waverley Road is next
door to the subdivision and can be accessed through a path to it.
Bedford Junior High School and C.P.
Allen High School are both within walking distance. Also a short
walk away is Bedford Place and Sunnyside Mall as well as all amenities
in downtown Bedford. Oakridge is mainly a young family area but has
residents of all ages. Some of the streets in subdivision: Duffus is only street. Schools: Sunnyside Elementary-Waverley Road location , Sunnyside
Elementary-Eaglewood, Bedford Junior High 7-9, C.P. Allen High 10-12.
The list of schools above are the schools listed on the Halifax Regional
School Board website for this subdivision as of the date of creation
of this webpage. However school boundaries are constantly changing
