Sandy Lake Park in Bedford opened for use the summer of 2004. This park was created by the Lion's Club of Bedford. It is a fabulous wooded park with a beach with change rooms and bathrooms, a spacious grassed play area, a sanded area,walking trails and parking lot. It is a wonderful addition to Bedford's open areas. It is accessed by taking the Hammonds Plains Road to Smith Road (by the exit to the Bi-Centennial Highway).
