The schools in Clayton Park are well respected and have excellent teachers. The facilities are getting old and in some cases overcrowded but are still very good facilities. A P-9 school called Park West was built in 2001 and has state of the art everything. Duc Danville and Clayton Park Junior High are across a playing field from each other. All children in the area attend Halifax West High School for grades 10-12. This school was built opened in 2003 and has excellent facilities. It is located in the Mainland Common area of Clayton Park.

The school system is constantly changing throughout metro. Boundaries are often changed and periodically schools are closed.
