Sandy is a career realtor. He began his real estate career at only 21 years old after completing a Bachelor of Commerce in Marketing. Sandy has been in real estate since 1982. During that time he has been always been a salesperson but he has also had duties as a manager, broker and a trainer. Having spent so many years in the business servicing the entire Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM) there is no area of the Halifax Regional Municipality that he is not familiar and knowledgeable. Sandy has had a successful career. He has been a sales award winner since he began real estate. With Judy he currently holds the Royal LePage Diamond Award which is given to the top 1% of Royal LePage Realtors. Sandy also holds his Real Estate Broker's designation which is the highest real estate license a salesperson can hold in Nova Scotia. Technology is a hobby of his and this has proven very useful as buyers turned to the internet for information leaving behind the old forms such as newspapers and cable television.

Judy joined Sandy in real estate in 2005. She was always involved in Sandy's career so her real estate knowledge was extensive before she entered the business. Judy has also been a successful business person for years. Since 1990 she has owned Judy's Nursery School in Bedford. In her business Judy has dealt with hundreds of parents throughout the years. She brings this experience of dealing with people, her knowledge of childcare and the education system in Halifax and understanding what children need when moving to a new place to the partnership. Many buyers have commented that it was nice to have a women's perspective during their house hunting trip.

On the personal side Sandy and Judy are originally from Cape Breton Island. They moved to Halifax in 1980 to complete their education and have been here ever since. They have one child, Megan , who is currently taking a Bachelor of Education Degree. They have always been active volunteers having been involved in Bedford Minor Basketball, Bedford Days organizing committee, Bedford Minor Baseball, and several other smaller organizations. In 1998 they were founding members of the Light Up Bedford Parade which is an annual Christmas parade for charity. In 2002 Sandy was nominated for HRM Volunteer of Year. Sandy is an avid but average golfer but Judy is not. She thinks golf is the "dumbest game on earth". Sandy also likes to play guitar, mainly at parties, but has been told he is the worst singer in HRM. He accepts that as an accurate assessment of his singing so he doesn't do that much. Judy enjoys creative hobbies such as crafts.
