Dewolf Park
Located on the shores
of beautiful Bedford Basin is Dewolf Park. This is a public park located
on the Halifax end of Bedford at the bottom of Holland Avenue. The park
has a 1 mile walking path along the water and roadside. It is a wonderful
place to go for a stroll or walk your dog. A wharf constructed in 2003(scene
on the left photo) is an excellent place to fish or just watch the boats
moored alongside. In 2005 an elaborate set of play equipment was installed
in the park and this has proven to be a big draw for Bedford and area
children. The park has a residential and commercial component as well
including condominiums, townhouses and office space. On Wednesday nights,
in the summer, the Bedford Yacht Club holds sailing races and the boats
race close to the park. This is one of the most beautiful sites you will
